The tournament was played in NZ during August 2009.

The Perth Futsal Cougars squad in NZ for the second annual NZ Cup:
Coach – Brian Watkins, 1 – Kenny Ftynogannis (GK), 2 – Saeed Danesh, 4 – Jeevan Krishnan, 5 – Shirash Sasnkunar, 7 – Keegan Loraine, 8 – Roshann Frederic, 9 – Eldon Abrahams (C), 10 – Simon Barber, 12 – Brad Kneebone (GK)NZ Cup

Warm Up Game: WA draw 2 all with New Zealand

Game 1: WA narrowly missed a point in a 2 – 3 loss to a strong Queensland line-up

Game 2: WA’s Perth Cougars defeated NZ Maori in a convincing 8 – 3 result.

Game 3: WA 4 v Nth Qld 2

Semi Final of the NZ Cup, unfortunately they missed their chance for a place in the final play-off with the NZ line up being too good on the day.
